I am new here I've been looking for questions and answers to issues with my 2005 GTP it has a slp short air box and lid, and that's all I am having problems like while I'm driving in the rain and hit a puddle it sounds like my cat fell off, as well when I give the accelerator all it has it has a dead spot you can here it in the whining of the s.c. As it seems to have a miss at low constant rpms I have changed the plugs to a hotter plug and replaced all my coils and wires as well the rear plug got cracked in the changing process it was replaced.. If anyone could help with this I would appreciate it

When you are supercharged, you might go one plug range cooler, never go hotter. What brand names on the plugs, wires and coils?

is this only after hitting a good puddle in the rain?

and what does it sound like when the cat falls off? the exhaust gets loud? or feels like its dragging the street?


if this only happens in the rain, id think your belts are getting wet, causing a belt to screech/slip and then a loss of power.

and like bill asked, what plugs did you put in? if your engine is stock your best off using stock iridium plugs. the air box dont count.

Honestly y'all I don't remember what plugs I placed in there now I think of it, I was on zzps forum as well ( they blow, no one re back ) and I read a thread about what plugs to run and I think it may have been a colder plug. Advanced auto parts wires and stock coils. It makes a noise after I hit " that one particular puddle" and it sounds like my exhaust broke off right under neath my floorboards and if you give it gas it gets louder sounds like straight headers on a 6cyl lol. And if I don't touch the gas peddle it'll adventualy go away... No codes. Are thrown neither..
