First off hello folks. Ive been lurking for a few days since im about to go check out a gtp on saturday for sale.

Id like to know what you guys think of this gtp and what youd offer the owner. 220k, no mechanical issues (?), clean and clear title. Thx for opinions and help.

that front bumper is a different shade in color.. id ask why.. check to see if it was wreckd in the front.. appears to be car that was bought cheap an somebodys trying to flip because if someone put all that time an work there going to explain more then what they did in that post.. be careful 2200 is an awful lot... id say maybe 1200-1600

Agree front bumper is sprayed... I'd ask for more pics prior to even going to see the thing in person. Also, painted engine would indicate someone playing with car and not driven by grandma to church on Sundays lol.

If you go to see the car, check fluids, and the coolant, looks for the telltale LIM leaks, check rockers for rust, etc.
you could also invest $75 for Carfax if you are seriously considering handing over monies, just to be sure it wasn't wrecked...

    Anyways, good luck!

Thanks guys I was a tad skeptical about price and god knows I cant afford to buy a lemon. I didn't even notice the difference in bumper color(damn smartphone). I think I'm gonna pass on this one all together. Besides I got my eyes on another couple rides. GTPs of course.

Smart move. 220Kmi GTP for $2200 is way too high.

I agree that the bumper is re-painted. The price is not too bad you can prob talk them down to 2k. I paid 2k for my GP GT 132k miles. Kelly blue book priced it at $3,365. It was in an accident in the back, so I got a good deal on it and the seller (privet dealership) did not realize it was a GT until after he sold it to me (was listed as a SE) . However a shop told me it was a good idea I did not to buy a supercharge (SC), because the SC has allot more things to go wrong with it and it tends to break allot more. If you go with SC buy the newest nicest GTP you can afford. I almost bought a GTP myself, but was short $500 dollars.

^ that's false Jtiger360, they only tend to break more because people beat on them.

Ya that is definitely false. If anything the supercharged block is better since its made to take boost, and the trans has some hardened parts.

Well I ended up with a 2k gt which im happy with. Needs some cosmetic work but nothing major(new radio and climate control knob). Only paid 1250 for it. Good tranny and motor.

Do a Carfax on the car before you buy... nvm you bought it grats!! Still should run a Carfax report. 1250 not bad at all! I paid 2k for my 2001, 133k miles and I got sensors going bad everywhere and I think, not sure, but I think I need a new front axle as well, you got a grate deal + its a GTP!
