    hey guys,
looking into getting maybe an 05 06 gxp, 90k or so miles on it is fine for my price range (6k-9k) just wondering is that a far price range for an 05 06 with around 90k? not sure what these go for normally.
    also,
what are some general issues with these cars that seem to always pop up? everyone fears the GM Wbody tranny i know but i hear good and bad, whats the scoop with the gxp's tranny? i have a 99 gp gt and am looking to upgrade a bit while im in college.

thanks for the help in advance!

I bought an 06 gxp 4 more the ago or so with 41000 miles on it. My tyranny is fine and runs great. I've not had any major problems personally except for front hub assembly. I would take put a drop or two of tyranny fluid and look and smell it. See if its burnt or not. Also the one ur looking at does it have anything after market or is it straight stock.

And I paid 10 for mine but for i love it so far...I also wouldn't drive it hard if its stock tyranny. Look for new future tyranny rebuild or replace unless u get lucky. If I were u I wouldn't pay more than 8 but I'm no expert

The GTP is a heck of a lot cheaper to mod...as the gxp is more expensive to mod. But if money isn't to big of a concern id go gxp and the turbo is about 5 grand and a built trans is another 3 approximately then u got a dang fast car...if I had the money that's what id be doing to mine now

I got my 05 with 78k for $9000.. It did consume oil, but I recently got a hp tuner and disabled DoD immediately. We'll see how it reacts now. Also, if you get a GXP get a trans cooler asap. Cheap and will prolong the life of the tranny, if you decide to beat on it. A built TEP trans is about $2000.

yea trans cooler is a must have. I'm currently have dual ones plus the stock one running on my car. Make a huge difference in the tranny temps
