Alright so I got my first supercharged gtp about a year a ago and the wheel well rusted out I found out after I got it hit a bad bump and it shifted but I only paid 500 for it what I know of as mods are 3in downpipe with a catalytic converter to a straight pipe with stock exhaust dual dualtips it has a 3.4 and a different computer the trans went out so I looked on Craigslist and I found a body that the guy blew the piston out the side of the motor and got it for 400 so I had my friend shop put the motor in but I forgot to have them put the wire harness in and I just kept the computer to put in later the only problem was its now a 97 body and a 98 motor and the wiring harnesses have different spacings so I was wondering what I can do to get the computer in should I get a wiring harness for 98 Gtp or is there something I can do to the existing 97's wiring harness to make it work? Please help

Um you didnt need the computer or the wiring harness, you should have just swapped the engines right over. 97 pcm wont work in a 98 car anyway. And I would not trust a 3.4 pulley on a dp only car just saying. Needs more mods.

97 pcm will only work in a 97 car 98-02 are all interchangeable with other 98-02 cars. Only thing I can say is see if anyone wants to trade their pcm or just buy a new one from intense or will.

98 is different than 99-02 the maf tables aren't the same. But you could swap the wiring harness to run the 98 pcm. Should put headers on while your in there.

The differences in wiring from 97 to 98 is something like 10 wires. You could move them in the pcm connector fairly easily. Otherwise..the connectors hook up etc etc.

Or you could use your 97 pcm and since you have DHP, just copy the engine file from the 98 pcm into the 97 pcm. Also quick and simple.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/pcm-pinouts-46260.html

98 and 99 are identical. Take the 97 and map out the locations versus the 99 and find the differences. Then move the 97's wires to match the 99 pinout. Like I said..there's about 10 to move. If you label them and move..you are all set. It's super easy to move wires in the connectors.

    What's the code

You know..by holding this info back you are making it harder to help you? I get very lazy when people draw crap out before posting all the pertinent info.
