I left this morning to go to the store, and the remote keyless entry wouldn't work. It has happened before, so I thought it would just need to be reset. I decided to go to the store and do it when I got home. Well, I got to the store and parked the car. As soon as I put it in park, the trunk latch popped. Needless to say, I was rather surprised.
I closed it and went about my business. I had several other places to go, and each time I put the car in park, the trunk latch would pop. Also, the trunk release button in the glove box doesn't work. I got home and tried to reset the fob. It wouldn't re-program, I'm guessing because my car keeps thinking the trunk is open, though it isn't. HELP!! I have no idea why it's doing what it's doing and I don't know how to fix it. I'm considering disconnecting the battery to reset the car's computer, but not sure if that will help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
