    Hello All,

Long time follower, first time registerer/poster. I have questions about an issue that occurred. Last week, the wife was on a drive back from visiting family, a few hours drive both ways, and the RF caliper bolts on her 2000 GP came loose while she was driving and it caused the wheel to lock in forward position because it wrenched the caliper into the rim. I had changed the brakes and rotors on both sides about two months ago and had everything back together just fine (or so I thought).

My questions would be, 1) Is it possible for them to even vibrate loose like that, in that situation? 2) Could over-tightening/under-tightening cause the bolts to back themselves out easier? I would think that, if I had even forgotten to tighten them, they would have came loose a long time ago. Here's the other catch, her sway bar is broken off from the drivers side at the bolt/bushing, so her suspension and front end is taking way more vibration and jolts then I would think that it normally does.

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

sounds like you forgot to tighten them up real good.

the sway bar being broken will cause some pot holes to sound and feel worse then they are. they go for a bout 120 or less for a dorman solid sway bar. ( comes with all new end links, sway bar bushings caps and bolts)

the stock one is hollow and the ends rust and break off at the end links.
