I capped the evap line under the hood, removed the charcoal canister in the back, capped the small line at the canister, vented the big line at the canister, and deleted the related evap codes from the computer.

Put it on the alt brace. Most don't run the brace after IC"ing. I wanted to give it the support it deserved. lol
You can put it nearly anywhere. And swapping out the stock hard lines with rubber ends that crack for regular hose will make you a much happier person as well.
What exactly does it do? Pros/cons of removing it?

It takes vapor from your fuel tank and pressure..and based on certain criteria etc..it opens the valve and allows the engine to burn those fumes.
Doesn't hurt anything, doesn't mess with anything and doesn't gunk up yoru intake. Hence..why I always kept it.
Bill,
It looks like I will not be able to use the alt brace. It interferes with my fuel logs, and there is not room. I will probably keep the evap and just run it with some new self made lines. The stock line connects to the TB though, and I was planning on commandeering that port for the CCV. Am I not thinking this through properly?
