Hello from SE CT. Chris here. Just put a 2001 bronzemist metallic GP SE with sunroof back on the road. Has only 79K and runs great, but needs a right front door, was in a shunt that caved in lower part of door. Replacing it would make the car look near mint. Going to use it as a daily commuter. My only previous Pontiac was a 77 Safari Wagon that I had in the early 90s. Paid 500 for it, gave great service for many years, eventually got 500 for it on a trade in, best 500 buck car I ever owned! Looking for info on doing a door swap, and leads to find a good used door on the internet.
I am currently also active on the Toyota Tacoma forum (tacomaworld.com) - just picked up a new Taco 4X4 (the pyrite mica paint color is a close match to the GP's bronzemist metallic, they look good parked together in the driveway!). Also on the Ford Escort Owners Association forum (feoa.net), for our bought new 94 LX 5 speed sedan, 18 years young and closing in on 200K!. Was also active until recently on the Volvo XC70.com Forum for our 98 V70XC AWD that the Tacoma replaced, had 220K on it when it ate a valve and we decided it was time to move on...
Username AJ1G is my ham radio callsign, on the air since 1967, did many years of HF mobile operation from the Volvo, will also likely also be putting a HF/VHF /UHF multimode transceiver in the GP soon.
