I came across this site while searching for a 'how-to' and figured it could only be helpful to have a whole community of GP owners to draw knowledge from.
I somewhat recently bought a 01 Grand Prix GTP with 78,xxx miles on it. My 99 Monte Carlo Z34 was needing more $$ for repairs than what I felt was worthwhile so, wanting to stick with the 3800 platform, I did what any other person would do and that is buy the SC'd version!
I'm not planning on making any major mods on the car, I'm just a guy who enjoys his car and is looking to 'hang out' with others who enjoy their cars.
