On top of the turbo kit/intercooler you will need injectors, tune, and a cam. If you are planning to put down that much power you will want to look at getting a built trans. Here's the break down if you install parts:
Used turbo kit/IC-2K+
Cam and install parts-$1000
Injectors-$200ish
Tune-$500 unless tuning yourself then it's probably about half(pay for tuner)

So now you have just spent about $3700 of your hard earned cash, but wait you need a transmission to take the abuse:

Built trans-2K-$2500- that's without a 1" chain

Sweet, now you are at $5700 but what if I want to go even further and get that 1" chain:

1" chain-$1500-$2000

Know you are getting there:
total now is a mere $7700

So now the power is there, but what am I going to do to put it to the ground let alone stop the pig with that much power:
brakes/suspension-$700 (light estimate)

So now you are at roughly $8400 in mods and have spent twice or more than likely 3X the value of the car.

In all seriousness though I'm just making a point about how expensive it is. However, if you are willing to spend the coin it makes for one fun and unique ride. The pull of a turbo car throughout the powerband and in the upper RPM's is a night and day difference compared to the S/C. If I did it all over again I would still slap a turbo kit on my GP. It's by far the best mod I did. Plus there's nothing cooler than hearing the turbo spool and the wtf looks you get.
