Start asking him question about his car and he'll spill the beans on everything he's got under the hood, he won't be able to stop - its in our nature.

Do you only want to go faster than him or is there some target time/speed your looking for. The reason why I ask is because as soon as you beat him he'll be at the parts store to make his faster!
