    Hello, my cavi was totalled last week so i had to get a new car. Didn't have much to spend and i always liked the grand prix and fortunatly found one at my local chevy dealer for sale that looked nice. Not really my choice of color inside or out , but it is nice and in good shape. It's a 01 GP GT , that green exterior with beige leather interior. Can't wait to get started upgrading it . First thing will be getting my morels in it and then chage out those fogged up headlights.
    Anyways, I look forward to owning it and learning from this forum. I am a mechanic and i know car audio , so maybe i can contribute to the forum as well.

    My 04 cavi was great, really had no problems other than a few intermittent electrical issues that came and went, but i think they were related to the chime module. I will indeed throw some pics up.

    pics i promised

    Pretty clean for a 01 i think. Little wear on drivers seat and needs new headlights. Has brand new tires and recent tune up and the plastic upper intake has already been done and dexcool is gone has the green stuff in it now. I will have to get more pics of the engine bay and such.

    That's no coupe.

    Anyways, nice looking car there but I'd still keep my coupe. You may be able to fit more womenz in there but I'll take my weight reduction and better looks any day.

    -Edit-
    How may miles? By looks I'd have to guess under 115k.

    I didn't want a coupe, just came from one and they are a pain with kids. Besides i think these cars look better as a sedan. It has 133k on it and i picked up from the dealer for $3500 . Also the big doors on coups suck in parking lots when you have cars next to you. Anyways i look forward to getting started on it. Headlights and stereo come first for me. Need to get me a good sq sub and pick up a nice 5 channel amp to power my morel componets and whatever sub i end up running (probably gonna be a dayton or tc sounds).

    +1 for headlights. Those were high on my priority list too, second only to getting the car running right.

    Almost makes me sick seeing fogged up ones after getting used to nice and shiny clear ones. Not sure if mine were just terrible before or what but I got better light output on the road too, probably the best $70 I've spent so far.

    Nice! Looks like you're gonna have to seal up those tail lights also. And I agree with 98L36, best $70 Ive spent as well.

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    I don't know if i should just get factory style clears and put hid's in them or get the ebay projector style ones with hid's. On my cavi i got new clears and put 6000k hid's in them and put 300k on the fogs and it was very bright. The tails do have some condensation in them, can i seal them to take care of it or should i just buy some led ones?

    If you want to drop the money on LED's, I'd do that. Sealing them is free and easy....but, if they've been like that for a while, there is prolly gonna be mold in them. If thats the case, I'd just replace them.

    I can't say I've ever tried them but from what I've heard the ebay projectors aren't the greatest thing. It is your money but I'm just going off of what I've heard.

    As far as the tails though I'd first try to dry them out really good and then seal them up as best as you can. I did this to mine and I got the one sealed up nicely but the other one didn't work as well. I'd personally like to get a set of taillights but for now I'll just deal with it. If the drying/sealing doesn't work for you though (again) it's your money and you can do whatever suits your desires. I think LED tails look sexy as h311 but that's just my opinion, do whatever you want to.

    Wut? I just had 3 women in my backseat today, most the night. Coupes still got space. (;
