Hello, I'm Steve. I've got an arctic white 2001 Grand Prix SE which I have modified in minor ways (I'm sure I'm not the fastest 3100 on the forum). This looked like a good place to join to get more information about my car, which I hope to modify further (no flashy stuff, I promise). Here's an old under-the-hood image:

I have since bought a huge K&N filter and cracked my intake manifold (in two place now, apparently!). I have a mechanic blog which I barely update, but I've got more pictures of the car/modifications (including that filter) there if by some odd reason you want to see more of the car.

Aside from working on cars, I like to design web sites, discuss philosophy, and compose music.

    I like you already!

You should look into swapping your intake manifold with a 3400 manifold for a little more pep outta that motor.

I thought they did that in the 2000+ 3100s to get that extra 10 HP out of them. Either way, after my next two commission checks come in, I'm going to get a competition ported upper and lower intake manifold from WOT-TECH. I'd like to get headers for it, too (I enjoy air flow upgrades, since they do very little to the fuel mileage), but they're hard to come by, and I'll probably end up with a set that fits the engine, but not the engine bay.
