nah, projectors are plug and play aside from wiring the halos to a power source.
however, projectors tend to bounce pretty bad, so do this

better option is to put HIDs in your stock housing or retrofit. if you really like the appearance of the projectors, you can make them worth it and then add HIDs later if you want.
however, if your stock lights are fogged over by all means find something else.

well projectors are "better aimed" headlights using h1 bulbs typically.
HIDs are bi-xenon light which is really bright clear light. might recognize it by the sometimes "blue" light you might see from higher end cars.

if you can afford it, retrofit stock lights. if not, put HID lights into stock, and lastly i would do projectors. i had projectors and wasn't real impressed. they're pretty and work decently but if you're gonna drop the $ might as well make it worth your while.

for that price id do HIDs in stock housings. this will give you brighter light out put, as well as being the least work involved. but stock housings dont contain the light from hid as well as they should. so you may have people high beaming you or evan get pulled over due to it ( not sure on that probably comes down to state law). OR you could probably get some projector headlights. this will help focus the light on were you want it. and if you put HIDs in there youll get alot better output and have focused light. BUT the aftermarket projectors are ugly as fvck IMHO.

youre other option is a bit out of your price range, and is VERY labor intensive, but this gives you the best of both worlds. its called retro fitting. this allows you to keep stock-ish looking headlights but get the absolute best light output and focus available. however this does mean ordering expensive projectors ( not to be confused with the aforementioned projector headlights) and ballasts,bulbs and harnesses ect. basicly what your doing here is taking these light emitting objects and cutom fitting it into your headlight capsuls.

now you can see if some one can do a retrofit for you, cleangtp was offering them i do believe, but they will be expesive as it is hard and time consuming work using pretty expensive materials.
