REMOVAL: removing everything from engine is common sense. Remove anything that bolts to the heads. Remove the heads( start at outside bolts and work your way in a cross pattern. spray some carb cleaner or gasket remover on block deck (makes it easier to remove gasket material) and scrape off old gasket material with a gasket scraper. careful not to scratch block though. make sure you remove all of old gasket or new gasket wont seal right. get heads resurfaced if you have to. TO INSTALL: MAKE SURE BLOCK IS DRY AND CLEAN. Place new gasket on block. It normally says which side faces up and Front means its on the harmonic balancer side and lower head onto block. it self aligns due to dowel pins on block. you need new head bolts since they are tty. install bolts and tighten them hand tight. use torque wrench to torque bolts to i think 37 ft/lbs if i'm not mistaken in 3 increments. (15, 25, 37ft/lbs in sequence. then an additional 120 degrees to each bolt in sequence. Rocker arm bolts torqued to 11ft/lbs. then an additional 45-90 degrees. they are tty too but its up to you if you want to get new ones. as far as order or sequence, you can either turn crank where both valves on each piston are closed ( pushrod is at bottom if its travel) and tighten two bolts at a time or just tighten them all at once but make sure the rockers full seat on the bracket. then scrape off old silicone from intake and use silicone on water ports on heads and install new intake gaskets and apply silicone on gaskets where water ports are at. seat intake and tighten bolts not too tight though just enough where your wrist does the torqueing. everything else is pretty much straight forward. hope this helps
