Aloha forummeisters and members!
First of all, thanks to all the admins and contributers on this forum. I've been reading up on a specific issue with my incoming GXP and noticed a lot of helpful ppl out there responding to questions in forum. Ppl who who definitely know their s**t regarding repairs/issues/installs for Grand Prix models. Lots of expertise here that I'll definitely need to check out! Can't wait to get my car here and stick in some LEDs to get it nice and bright.
Incoming...yes, I have a beautiful purple 2006 GP GXP coming over on the boat from the Mainland to here; should arrive in a couple weeks. My dream car! Yahooo! Clear title, all paid for...all mine to enjoy. I've only had 2 cars since becoming disabled in 1990, so I'm majorly stoked that I get a nice ride that I own outright.
I owned a 2004 GXP GT in 2006, which got repo'd while I was ill and unable to make payments. Naturally, the repo folks helped themselves to everything inside the car that wasn't nailed down, including CDs, rare Hawaiian glass bottles, cell phone chargers, etc. Scumbags! When I got well enough to go there and claim my belongings, all that was left was a box of newspapers and a couple of soda refill bottles which they wanted to charge me $140 to pick up. This time, ain't gonna happen as I have paid my car in full and will ride with pride (and insurance).
My brother and his daughter both have GPs. Short story: I visit home in the ML every couple years (as it costs $3000 to visit each time). When I went there in Xmas 2006, I learned that my brother had bought a GP at the same time I bought mine here in bananaland. And neither of us knew about each other's car purchase! Now, that GP belongs to my niece and my brother owns a nice 2007 GP with all the goodies. So that's the 'just a coincidence' story of the day!
Anyway, glad to meet and greet...
all the best to you and yours
