I've had my Grand Prix for about a week now. It's a '07 base model with the sport package and the sun and sound which gets you the monsoon sound system and the moonroof. The thing only had 15,149 on it -- literally driven only to church by a little old lady on Sundays. The only way you can tell it isn't a GT (from the outside at least) is that it doesn't have the little GT badge on the pass. side corner of the rear bumper. Never intended to buy a Grand Prix -- my wife wanted a Maxima but the GP is a nice little package for a hell of a lot less that an overpriced import. Hope to be able to do some upgrades. Defintely a K&N intake and maybe a chip to get a little more HP out of it. Down the road an actual dual exhaust. My impressions of it after a week and about 1,000 miles are that it handles great with the 17-inch alloys and it's not a race car by any means but will get up and go if you want to. The stereo is great but I can tell that the speakers are probably not going to last. It's got everything I was looking for at a great price. I like this car more every day. Hope I can benefit from the collective wisdom around here in regards to performance and appearance tips and care and maintenance and dependability issues. The basic platform is rock solid and has been around literally for decades so it's pretty tried and true. My son had a 96 SE with 180,000 miles on it and it had some issues such as the 3.1 gasket problems that caused it to leak coolant everywhere and some electrical gremlins, but hey it had a hell of a lot of miles on it.
