Very cool why didn't you get a red GP to go with the other Red Pontiac's? lol but I'm very jealous of all your rides very nice and welcome!

I had thought about that. But my last car was a red Chevy and figured the GP would sit outside much of the time. Keeping up with paint with color in the desert takes a bit more time that what I have. Wax here does not last long especially the natural waxes. Synthetics last a bit longer but still still never long enough.
I did have thoughts about black, but it's far too hot in this climate and the car would always looks dirty. Park a car for 1/2 hour and it's already covered with dust. Silver hides the dust and dirt factor.

Thanks, that is something I built. I did not buy it that way. I got lucky and found the car here in Tucson (after a 2 year search), parked in someones garage for 13 years. It was all original and matching numbers. PHS documents showed it was built in the first week of production of the 1st model year. I was happy to find a car with all the parts there, and it had not been abused. The original V8 (326ci produced from 1964-1967) still had manifolds and a single exhaust. After 20 months and 2200 hours of scraping, cleaning, painting, refurbishing, wiring and heaps of mechanical work it was finally complete. It was a 2nd full time job for a while. And a very dirty job at that too!
