    whats up just bought a 2000 gt 180 miles on the clock and blew a rod bearing...what else should i look for to replace before it goes out

    Welcome to the board.

    Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I don't know that rod bearing failure is all that common though. Sounds to me like the car needs a good going-over.

    well i got it cheat and its nice brand new cond. but i plan on doing a top swap....my sister has a bonnaville pushing bout 280 at the wheels so shes trying to help out best she can

    180K miles? Since you spun a bearing, I would say a freshening up of the engine is in order. Probably need to check out the transmission too.

    yes 180k...oh i am doing a full lower end rebuild and ill have to replace the tranny later anyways...is it cheaper to do a top swap or just get a l67 all together?

    For what you are looking to do, I'd look for an L67 pull-out. It will be less money/time intensive.

    well the only one i found is out of a 98 riviera for 900 bucks...what do u think

    Is that tranny and motor? or just motor if thats just motor you can find a l67 cheaper. Hell for 900 bux you should be able to find a l32
