    Howdy!

Just thought id share a bit about me, and introduce myself to the community. A couple of years ago I fragged the clutch in my daily driver, a 95 Chevy PU. With a heavy heart, I started looking for something to replace it. With Fuel prices over $3 for the first time, and a lengthy commute to work, I resigned myself to the fact that it would have to be a car. After a week of searching I came across a 2004 Pontiac grand am. it got decent mileage, and had enough trunk space for all the gear im prone to hauling around. After a few months of driving it, i started to like it.

Fast forward a couple of years, (this feb) and Im on vacation with my wife in MO when a chrysler attemped to mate with my GA...

and wouldn't you know that it would be just weeks after I replaced the radiator, ac condenser, and fans!

needless to say, we rented a Vibe to drive home... 600 miles

Knowing that the insurance company would likley total my car, I had the time, and motivation to think about what I really wanted.

    I wanted a Grand Prix!

After a bit of shopping, I found an 06 that was new enough I could pretend it was... and so after a month of driving and loving my GP, I find myself browsing this forum daily, learning and looking for the next item my Gp needs!

Thanks for all the help so far guys!

    A little about me:
Raised in the country... no, really the country. I work for a large Law enforcement agency in central oklahoma. In addition to playing with cars, I also shoot rifles competively, and for fun. On a good weekend ill be at the pond getting my thumb prints obliterated by the lower lip of largemouth bass.
er... if my wife lets me.

    gotta love Oklahoma...

My first Pontiac was a Grand Am GT, so I know how you feel when wanting to upgrade to a Grand Prix. Nice car and welcome!!

Welcome, and congrats on the new buy. Thats an upgrade for sure!

I am digging the upper intake on your car, being of polished aluminum and all. I did a few of those up too myself, amazing how well they clean up and better they are than the older plastic ones.
