Change the filter and check the pump 1st. My pump started going out at about 145K miles. Clean the MAF senssor and check the vacuum connections. Also there is a fuel pump resistor on the inside of the passenger side fendor near the battery. Its a couple inches by about an inch and its pretty flat. Check it out. One of these should definately get you running and keep it that way.

Hey OrangeL67. This applies to a GT with no Super Charger Right? Could locate it at first, but I am about to get back under that hood now. I changed the actual relay inside the engine compartment fuse bay (#14 Fuel Pump). No change. Cleaning throttle body now, as I have replaced the fuel filter.
Thanks to you and everyone here at thsi Forum.!!! Wish me luck...

    TorqueAutoMotive.

Thanks for the recommendations man. Fuel Pump seems OK, changed Filter, no changed fuel filter and Fuel Realy (#14 in fuse box underhood. No change. Oh and sorry dah, no engine lights on now or prior to this issue. Just the Traction Control Light at start up sometimes. Still will not stay running and stalls with restart at this point on Monday 3/22/2010/. Dudes, it sucks to be carless on unemployment. Grrrrr.

    PONTIAC PANIC

    Good Evening Pontiac Comrads,

    Grand Prix GP still inoperative.

Cleaning ThrottleBody and MAF Sensor tonight and tomorrow AM. Then if that does not work, I intend to simply unplug the Crank Sensor as recommended inanother article. If that does not work, will probaly replace my MAP Sensor and / or MAF Sensor / CAm Sensor. Then finally, if these do not work, I will replace my, Fuel Regulator and finally, my fuel pump all in that order testing between each. Then if that does not work, get a new ECM and/or maybe EGR Valve. That about covers every fricken engine management component outside of theO2 sensor.. Grrrr. Injectors will be a last resort.

    HELP!!!!! John Z.

Oh yah, and possibly plug wires and coil. This, I am afraid is going to be an expensive outage. Considering bringing it to dealership, but have read that they are not much help on this Pontiac anomole. I ain't trying to restore the vehicle, but at this rate..., might as well look into a GTP or at least the top end.
