Just got a 2001 Grand Prix with the typical trans problem (PCS going bad) Was wondering if many people had luck with using a shift kit to speed up the shifts to avoid max line press..

I only suggested it because its easy to do if its that far apart already. My boots were not torn or leaking grease, but did click occasionally. did bearings and axles at same time. like I said depends on mileage

That's true.. I guess they can get worn with age.. Did yours shift hard into drive or reverse?

reverse did a little bit not too much. While driving in traffic letting off gas then on again would produce a clunk noise which dissapeared with the new axles installed
