Surprised I haven't banned from Clubgp as I don't/never have owned a GP. I'm happy *** doesn't sale F-Body parts...wouldn't want to support someones HGH habits.

That was totally uncalled for. Clubgp might be biased toward ZZP but that doesn't make ZZP bad. I have had very good luck with them and have bought almost every mod from them.

I'm willing to bet it was on other forums promoting his little part of the WWW. Sure he gives his sponsor free reign of mud slinging that takes place. Zoomer comes over and plays like he's a victim, when he built his company on the backlash of Intense, and I think we can all attest to witnessing him taking a crack at Wbodystore....

....Bottom line, I think it's rediculous that people live in fear. It's nice having friends, and they can keep all the kiddies that sling racial slurs and jump their cars on their side of the fence.
First off, I want to say that I had nothing to do with Dave getting banned and this hit me quite quickly. My thanks for editing the title of the thread. ClubGP is not a place where only ZZP can bash. It's a place where free speech is valued over political correctness. This is good for the community. If you don't have a method of feedback then consumers do not get a full picture of issues and potential problems.

In the beginning ClubGP was pretty relaxed on advertising. Scott and I started our companies and didn't pay for advertising until we had a few products going. Mike has gotten stricter. As for ZZP riding on the fallout of intense? That's not true. ZZP does more business than ZZP and Intense did combined before the crap. We're a company of nearly 20 guys using over 20,000 sq ft. Intense is a couple guys with the owner doing it on the side. It's apples to oranges. 1/4 of the products Scott does have motor mounts, pully systems, and many other small things are just copies of successful ZZP parts. Hell, Intense used to sell them as purchased from ZZP til we cut him off.

On the HGH comment, I think it's important for people to be able to voice their opinions. I don't really see the relevance of bringing up acusations of drug use in a car forum but whatever floats your boat. Probably just a jealous hater...

Ok guys and gals, if we dont get a handle on this, the site will be no better than the one your complaining about. If you want to complain about a vendor, then stay with the facts, but remember if you say they are a meth head, with no proof, your bashing. If you do have proof, you must have been there with them.

Zooom....never said that you were responsible for Dave getting banned. I'm just pointing out that everyone has been guilty one time or another of tossing their own little jab in.

You spend a lot of time and money in your company, and that's good. I'm just trying to point out that some of us (me) have tried to contact Mike directly about getting a little piece of the pie, and have had no response. Not saying that his PM box may have been full etc. No biggie to me, I abide by the rules and don't advertise. I do favors for people everywhere else and keep myself busy.

    No biggie.

Zooomer, remember 2 year ago me you and mike stood around at the San Antonio meet an talked about clubgp sponsor ship. I was banned aprox 1 week after this without any waring, didnt get any pm, no one said anything while i was face to face the prior week. for having devilsown in my sig. I just went quietly and uses it as a learning experience.

At the time i was watching the company for a friend that was doing it as a part time gig that went over seas to iraq. But i was alittle green "about 2 weeks at the time" and honesty didnt' know it was "bad practice" to post links in sigs when not posting on most forums. But now i own the company and been around the block.

When we where all standing around i was told 300 dollars to get things started. 80 dollars is on the low side for what most large forums go for. Makes me wonder where the other vendors are.

My reasons behind this forum is to try to ramp up the grand prix market. Look at cobalt forums. 20 vendors, srtforums over 50 "dodge neons" have more vendors than we do. The majority of alll people only know of 3-4 grand prix vendors. I don't think this is going to spead sells out just encourage more people to mod.

Clubgp is making a lot of rash decisions and to me, they are not consistant at all. Seems like whoever seems to piss mike off at the time, gets banned. I made a thread in the Pre 1998 section, thread title was "grandprixforums.net" in the thread I said "This is worth getting banned, ban someone who actually breaks the rules directly." The thread was deleted and I am not banned, a few months ago I was even given a pm notice for banishment, saying I'm on the list. That's just strange to me...

I would also like to say that without ZZP, there would not be as many people involved with grand prix's as there is now. My first car was a V8 SHO and there is no aftermarket parts available, so I bought a gtp solely on ZZP being there for a long time for proven aftermarket parts for the gtp. Those who don't think this is so, how many ZZP parts are on your car, or who did you get ideas from?

This forum should not be turned into a pissing match, rather a forum where all vendors can exist for the better community/competition, clubgp tried doing that but lately they have become one sided.

that is exactly what I am trying to say....let the other forums do what they want, but this one should stick with being for the community and helping out the community.

I have no problem with people posting issues about vendors, but in farness to everyone, follow 2 simple requests.

1....Give the vendor a chance to fix the issue before going public with your complaint.

2....Stick to the facts.....Saying they are a meth head does nothing for your complaint but take away from your credibility.

Well said Chris, just as your PLEASE READ thread mentions. This forum was started to NOT have any of that over here, lets keep it that way. If there are problems, contact the supplier and let them handle them. A lot of things got out of hand yesterday, I appologize to anyone I offended as those were by no means the intentions of anything in this thread. This website is to help the community, not become a cash cow and vendor war

This is what an admin should do. Get to the point in a respectful manner. Also, I like the fact language is under control. If it isn't it opens more doors. This is what I think caused the barbarians to flurish.

Also, as mentioned, lets not start on the habits on the other forum. Saying ZZP did this/that without proof and you actually know it isn't true and you want to vent, don't bother posting. You're just changing the relaxed mood to a venting session.

In only a few days you guys are already experiencing the problems a forum can have. Guys accusing me a drug used because they have some beef with my company, questions of what should be censored and such.

The problem is that once you start sensoring posts of any kind, you risk the issue of becoming what you're complaining about. Then people start getting prefference. ie, well.. I'm not going to ban or sensor him because he's a paying vendor, or has a lot of good posts, or is my friend, etc. This is why it's so important for a good forum to be run by someone who isn't selling parts or doesn't have personal interest in censoring.

On the Cobalt forums there are a lot of vendors because everyone thought they were going to cash in. It's $600 to sponsor over there and you'll see at least 1/2 of those vendors drop off the site shortly. The market is much smaller than what people thought it would be.

I haven't seen Mike N playing favorites or banning people for no reason. When I ask him about it, he always sends me proof. In the case of Tranny Dave, Mike sent me a PM with Dave discussing bringing down clubGP. I'm not saying that all bans have been justified but I see Brian Teel posting on CLubGP w/o issue even though he was mentioned. Since I have a good relationship with Mike, I would be more than willing to moderate discussion if someone thinks they have been banned unjustly.
