Hello, this is my first post.
I just bought a 2006 Grand Prix back in June. It was a lease return and in very good shape: the lessee took very good care of it. Along with the fact that I take good care of my vehicles, I am hoping this will be a good car for many years to come.
So far it has been nothing short of awesome. It has the base 3800 engine, not the V8, but does have the sports package with the better wheels. I blew out a tire (it was defective but the warranty doesn't cover it) so I put a set of Yokohama avid TRZs on it and wow, this thing handles extremely well now. The only car I have driven that handles better is an actual sports car, a Corvette.
Even without the V8 or a turbo this thing moves. I can drive 90+ down the highway and it feels like I may as well be idling in my driveway. I have taken turns at 50 MPH in the rain without slipping (although I think I did need to change my underwear, sometimes I surprise even myself).
Now that I own one, every time I see another one on the road I have to stare. These cars are very sexy.
