hi guys im new to this so work with me.. i hav e an 04 comp g with like 130k on the clock. 3 months ago i baught a slp cat back 180 thermostat wizair box from zzp,ngk plugs, msd coils, and zzp peformance wires. 3 days ago i instaled a 3.4 pully from intense racing. on the first drive the car took off fine but as it got hot i only could take the rpms up to 3500 to 4000 any higher and it starts to miss fire. it only does it on a hot motor when the motor is cold i could take it up to 5500 with no prob but if i was to drive hard the tem climes and it happnes again. it never acted like this untill i instaled the 3.4 pulley . is it because of the stock pcm?

put the stock pulley back on, its gonna blow up. that pulley is 2 small 4 that setup on a series 3 motor. ive read and the smallest u should go is a 3.6 pulley or somethin. maybe im wrong. i dont have 2 much knowledge on what mods 2 do on a series 3. hopefully some1 will correct me if im wrong.
3.4 pulley, 3" catless dp (ubend deleted), 3" exhaust split to 2.5 dynomax mufflers (no res), zzp plog, 4" spectre intake, alt rewire, under/overdrive pulleys, intense pcm, 3/4" zzp tb spacer, al 104's, 180* stat, msd coils/8.5mm wires, heatwrapped crossover, flipped db's, optima red top, sunpro st boost gauge: boosting 11lbs.

no clue on the S3 but i agree, pull that damn thing off before you grenade that thing! may need more upgrades including valvetrain and more cooling obviously before you can run a pulley, and i would def say it would need tuned for it no matter what.

basicly wats goin on is like wat happens 2 a turbo car when it boosts over what the turbo can hold, wastegate wont open and all of a sudden u cant go nowhere. well 2 small of a pulley, specially on a gen 5 s/c will cause nothin but problems without supportng mods and a good tune.

+1 after reading the safely modding your 3800 thread it would seem that you are about ready for a 3.4 buuuuuuut with the newer superchargers all the knowledgeable guys will say we can only drop to a 3.6. Get that thing off there before you screw it up for good.
