Two possibilities here. The first is a dirty MAF (mass air flow sensor). Get a can of MAF cleaner (Advance Auto sells it) and clean the sensor, reset the code, and see if it returns.
The second scenario is that your MAF is failing. Eventually it will completely fail and your car will run horribly, if at all. In this case a new MAF is required. NAPA sells them and they have a lifetime warranty when you save the sales receipt. DO NOT get one from AutoZone! They rarely last longer than a year and are not warrantied.
