my name's Lane, just got an 06 Grand Prix, not a gt, gtp, or a v8, jsut and Se (i think) thats all decked out.
Everything's factory and i have about every option avalable but the nav system.
The factory chrome rims, monson system, sun roof, leather all around, 36k miles, and so on.. ill get some pics up later
Anyways, i'm looking to give it some spice, it kinda looks like a grandma car, and when i took my sister for a spin, i started it, and she's like, did the car start?
i reved it and the fan is louder than the exhaust
so i've got these questions:
1. any decent aftermarkey spoilers that look factory and not ricer? i hate these spoilers, they look like a chunk of plastic sitting on my trunk.
2. Best exhaust? I want something wtih sound, and it wont hurt the engine... me and my friend were contemplating leaving the catalyst converter on and straight piping it, but idk. anyone ever try flowmaster 44's? plz reccomend a good muffler
3. I also was looking around on ebay.. and i found this whistel you put in your tail pipe that makes it sound like a turbo.. i'm getting one
4. to paint the calipers.. do you have to disassemble them or take them off? or can i mask the rotor and just kind paint them?
5. i'm not a fan of alot of aftermarket chrome products, they look trashy, though in ebay they make a chrome bar you put on your door, where theres that skinny long rectangle going across the two door, knwo what i mean? i'd like to put on there
6.cold air kits, worth it? any noticable power and mpg differences?
7 any other cheap power mods? i know how to turn a wrench.... on motorcycles... i dont like working on cars for some reason... so yep..
