Just bought a gtp a few months ago.
I always wanted one and finally have one.

Just wanted stop in and see what you guys do to these things and what kinda power can be brought out of them.

I have no mods done yet but in the future I will.

I just picked up a set of new rims for it. I know it sounds typical thing to do but the rims that came on it are the stock ones and they are in pretty bad shape. they look good from about 20 feet away but if you look at them the chrome is peeling of bad. I'm an attention to detail type of guy so they had to go.
Other than that the car is in real good shape.
I'll get some pics up once I get the rims on it.

Anyway, looking forward to talking with you guys and gals.

Welcome to the forum! There are many different variations of modified 3800's on here. Some stock M90, some bigger superchargers, some turbo, some nitrous, and some pretty powerful N/As as well! Personally I'm currently building up my suspension and ripping my spare transmission to pieces to supprt my future path which is still uncertain. I'm stuck between going the distance for a turbo build, or keeping the stock m90 and going with the XPZ cam, or keeping the stock m90 and going with the XP cam and a shot of N2O!

Either way you can get a decent amount of initial power out of your car with an intake, headers and downpipe. As you gain supporting mods you can start lowering your pulley size but you want to tune your car while doing all of this. It is very important.

Also to keep in mind, our transmissions tend to break down when we start adding more stress to them. It is almost essential that you have it beefed up when you start getting into the 300hp range. Also, if you put bigger rims on your car it too adds stress to your trans.

    Thanks guys.

Prolley going to to stay with the Basic mods with it, the intake, headers and downpipe like Quicklynx mantioned.
I don't need to worry about the trans the rims I got are 17's.

UR LOSN, been to kenosha, Do you race at the grove or route 66?

I go out to the grove, not with the gtp but my race car/street car.
Being from kenosha I have an AMC Rebel Machine, motor's all apart right now.
Long story but I had a lose in oil pressure.
I'll be getting it back together in the next few weeks.

I race at Byron sometimes down south of me, but I routinely make it to the Grove every year!

EDIT: I remember your car!!!!! My friends and I were in the stands when you just left the import at the line. We all were laughing histericlly!!!!!
