    lol ok first I wanted to say I got the random question wrong!! grrrr. It asked me the average number of tires on a car...duh well its 5 if you count the spare...99% of cars come with one and it sits in the trunk. Why doesnt the spare count. If sitting in the trunk isnt on the car then thats news to me So I retyped in 4 and it let me join yay

    But on another note I came here looking to learn more about my car because I hope to put a turbo on it by the end of this summer. I looked at the kits for $4-5K and I'm not going that rout..I'm going to see if it can be done for under $2K. I'll be doing the labor myself, anyone selling a used kit lol

    Welcome to the community.



    Turbo kit's come up all the time used and for pretty good deals.

    Depending on how much power you want it's going to cost a lot more than that mainly becuase of the transmission upgrades.


    Look for a used Z7 kit. That turbo kit peaks out at about 500WHP. If you're looking to go a lot faster and spend a lot more look for a used T67 kit.

    I see what you are saying about putting one together, the only hard part about that is the hot side piping.I could use some aftermarket log headers for $200 but after that im stuck.

    Really I don't need much to run mild pis say around 10-12. lets see; the turbo ofcourse, hot/cold piping, some oil lines, a block off plate, blowoff valve, boost controler, wastegate, hoses, gaskets, a cheap intercooler, plugs, and an awsome tune. I bet I'm leaving out a few things but thats pretty basic.
