Yep, "oopsie" wheelspin happens frequently but can break the transmission instantly and those cost more than the car is worth.
I think if I could give only one piece of advice after driving black 99 coupes for 12 years and like 160K miles, it would be:
Keep good rubber on it, especially the front. You don't need nice kinds of tires, but plenty of tread is a must.

thank you guys... i said it was easy but that's one cheap thrill i can't afford. Mental note about tranny filed.
