is there any way to black out the warning lights on the dash and maybe even stop the alarm on the center display after doing so? Back in the "good old days" we'd just have popped the bulb out of the back of the dash - but I suspect they're LED's, not individual, socketed bulbs ...

Tape on the dash and unplug the DIC.
