Installed all new strut assemblies (cheap Oready's $300 total) then got new front tires and then alignment (back tires were fine). Definitely feels tighter . Theres still this annoying clunking noise going on that might be something to do with lower control arm / ball joint maybe.

Put in new plugs , wires , coil packs , upstream o2 sensor , air filter was dirty as fk lol , I don't notice any difference with anything but I doubt it hurt anything either . plugs looked pretty well used and uniform . normal wear.

Bled most of the air out of the cooling system , got rid of that annoying liquid sloshing noise for the most part .

The service traction/abs thing will pop up once in a while but im honestly not super concerned about it at the moment .

Im definitely going to get aftermarket cat and muffler I like how the engine sounds . Probably get rid of the Y pipe and just have 1 muffler in the back .

how to bleed the air out, let it idle rad cap off till the fans turn on, (when the fans are on the temp is over 195 deg, the t stat is wide open) then open the bleeder screw on top the t stat housing a few turns till a steady stream of coolant comes out the hole, shut the screw, top off the rad. cap it.

re flush your heater core first.

When mine started doing that it ended up being the heater core. Which drilling out the plastic rivets in the air box was the only real difficult part.

my car used to eat coolant. i dumped a bottle of blue devil in it and it held full. i pulled the heads of it when i blew it up and the gaskets looked ok. no idea wtf was the cause, but i know what fixed it.

I haven't done a compression test yet because its fking snowing outside but that would honestly make a lot of sense if the head gasket was effed up a bit / car feels slower than it should be / gas continually getting into the coolant / upper radiator hose feels hella hard when the engine is hot .

but I don't really know because it doesn't seems to burn up any coolant and the engine oil doesn't appear to have any froth or sludge.

I found that the lower intake manifold on my engine was eroded and very porous/leaking from electrolysis. It actually reminded me of the sacrificial anodes on my boat and had that same spongy look to the aluminum they get after a season in the salt water, except this was reaction between the iron heads and aluminum manifold. That could be a cause, FWIW.

The erosion was more likely due to Dexcrap.

I hadn't thought of that being the cause but you're right. It's happy as can be on plain old green prestone now. That Dex had also clogged the whole system with slimy clay-like sludge.
