    Greetings!
Currently my project has an older 3.8 fwd setup, but am prepping a 3800 SC (from 02 Bonnie) for the car.
The bonnie trans was broken, but I have a 98 Regal GS trans, and am using the ECU, subframe and portions of suspension from the 98 as well.
The thread on the 4t80 swap lured me in - wanted to see how it came out.
Maybe I can also contribute here - I have general experience from the current 3.8, the ingoing 3800, and an 03 Regal LS that's my DD.

Replace the paper gasket that hardens and splits to coolant/oil to leak internally/externally for the rear block cover/rear main seal carrier.

Corvair geeks are weird as hell....you fit right in with us at the asylum....

    4t80e is seksy as hell

    Thanks!
For this install, I'm intending to leave the top end together.
I thought the inlet gasket problems were mainly on the n/a motors?
    Low bucks all the way...

the rear block cover is between the engine and transmission you have to remove the flex plate to change it out. The intake has an issue but the rear cover is the one that will destroy the engine faster if it's not fixed and for the most part more than half of the engines I go through need that rear cover gasket more than anything
