Hey all. Just bought this nice 2002 pontiac grand prix gt coupe about a week ago. It's got 176k miles but has a rebuilt motor. I just replaced the headlights cause as you can see they were horrific. Also have some led taillights coming. Unfortunately I can't do a lot to it or it'll void the warranty, but shes pretty slick as is and very clean. No rust and the only dents are on the hood and not very big. That will be replaced eventually though. Look forward to reading through this forum.

No turbo, my daughter will be driving it also lol. Actually I bought a two year bumper to bumper warranty, it was worth the extra money. I bought an 02 taurus last year and the tranny went out six months later. I need this to get to Oregon and back also. The car was only $2,600 and the warranty was $800. I don't think I did too bad.

They had up to four years but I couldn't swing that.

Could any of you suggest some mufflers that sound good but aren't too loud?

Leave it stock. These cars don't sound good and will never sound like a V8. There are a few out there that may sound "ok" if you really want to change it tho. I think Borla makes one that sounds ok.

Not looking for a v8 sound, just something that has a little grrrr to it. But if nothing sounds good I'll leave it stock. Saves a little money lol.

Welcome, Friend. You will enjoy it here. Looks like you already have. Good thing you got that warranty, because it's leaving 2 puddles, 1 front, 1 passengers side.....lol
For the record : I am NOT a naked meth-head who shoves rocks up my butt.

Yeah, I didn't expect this much hospitality. Actually that's the parking lot next door, only puddles would be from just washing it lol.

Well, with his daughter driving it also, I'd be willing to bet it'll be driven like that from time to time, lol..

Well even with a warranty I need it out of the shop as much as i can lol. I spoke too soon though, after leaving the store I got in, started it, and she died. She started back up but the engine light came on and on the way home the trac off light and abs light came on. Taking it to o'reilly tomorrow to check the codes. Hopefully it's a simple fix.
