Hey so I've had this stubborn P0480 (cooling fan engine code) code for the longest. First let me start by saying both of my cooling fans have ALWAYS worked. In fact I took a look today with the ac on while idling and both of them still work! My engine temps are great and all is well besides this damn code. I've replaced all cooling fan related fuses and relays. I did find that 3 of the 4 wires that run out of the wiring harness and to the cooling fans had some insulation damage (1 of them was showing bare copper) so I cleaned them up and spliced in some new wire (again keep in mind the fans never stopped working due to this damage but I gave it a shot). After cleaning up the wiring I cleared the code and took her out for a spirited drive to get the cooling fans going and again both were spinning away (I had the ac on). So after all of this messing around I'm still left with this stubborn code and 2 working cooling fans. Nothing has helped and I'm really fed up. The car needs to get the emissions done but because of this stubborn code I can't pass. So anyone here know wtf is going on!!!??
