I would try really hard to repair the seat instead of replacing it, finding a used STE seat won't be easy and you will regret going to a manual seat.
I doubt that the motor controlling that function of the seat has failed, it is probably an electrical problem. I would start by reaching under the seat and wiggling the wire connectors as you press the button to adjust the seat back. This might narrow it down to a bad connection. I would also suggest unplugging all the connections under the seat, checking them for corrosion on the wires and reassembling them. Sometimes just disconnecting/reconnecting them is enough to get your seat back working again.
