Now I've read the photos for dummies post and I've tried several different ways of posting photos with copyin URL and adding it to insert image but for son reason they keep deleting after I go and post another photo. I've even gone through the trouble of resizing photo file sizes but for some reason when I go and post a photo and then I go and post another one, I can't add it until I remove old photos from my uploaded cache which seems to delete my previous photos posted.....

I know this is stupid because everyone else posts photos and have no problems but I seem to still have trouble. I'm not computer illiterate but I've never seen a site where it makes it such a pain to post pictures...no noob comments would be appreciated I just wanna fix this issue..

I've made a ton of progress on my build and would like to share it with other like minded 3800 enthusiasts out there and see what yall think....

Copy the image URL by right clicking on the image, then going to properties, then URL. (This should end in .jpg, .gif, .png, etc)

Paste that image URL between the following:

I think the thing you're missing is that although this site appears to accept attached photos, that part is a joke at best. Forget using that. The photos you see here are uploaded somewhere else and merely linked in posts. Photo hosting sites give you the whole IMG code so you just copy and paste in the text field then bam theres your pic. Linking to pics from other places on the web (not photo hosting sites) can be done using the "from url" tab found next to the "from computer" tab on the add photo box. IF you un-check the "reference locally" box, and if the pic is not somewhere that you have to log in to see it.

You can post up to 15 or 25 pic links in one post, I forget which. But you will never need to click that "insert image" icon to post your own images if you UPLOAD them ELSEWHERE and set the privacy to public.

Ok but when I did that and would go and post another photo, it would tell me I'm maxed on my file size limit. Now I can remove photos in my uploaded images cache to post another, but as soon as I do that it just deletes my previous photo

What site tells you you've maxed? If its this one, you aren't listening. If its your photo hosting site, the problem is not here.

Stop trying to upload photos to this website, unless you're using tapatalk it isn't efficient. Use photobucket or something similar to host your photos.

SD is plenty patient and knowledgeable but has moods and days like everybody. Just keep in mind how much noobism he has endured and reel out some slack if something annoys or gets past him.

Let's say you wanted to post idrivejunk's signature picture.

The URL for the image (which ends in .jpg) is "http://i807.photobucket.com/albums/yy358/chevroldsmobuiac/2016sig_zpsurmsjek6.jpg" (without the quotation marks)

to make it into a photo within a post, it would look like this (except without the spaces):

We take out the spaces and we get this image:

So figured everything out and I feel like an idiot now for bein such a pain. Wasn't aware I can copy n paste directly in text box lol noob alert!!! I do appreciate everyone's patience because I got alot of photos and progress so I apologize if my build thread makes no sense or photos are just random since i didnt start the thread when i started the build so if photos seem to be extremely random i promise in the end shell all make sense! : )

You're doing fine with it now. I feel a need to comment on the style you're creating, and I know I should resist so I'll post this here on the pic question thread. You are moving farther and farther away from tasteful good looks by spray painting things just because you can take them off. Here at GPF we tend to like appearance mods which look like they belong there. We generally don't go for bright eye-grabbing changes "just so it doesn't look stock". Whatever is done ought to work visually with the things around it.

The ogremobile SD mentioned is an advanced case of clash and honestly you're headed that way in my opinion. There's a silver Durango around here with every piece of dark grey trim plus wheels plasti dipped pink. OK I get that, it's a teenage girl's Durango. The ricer look is awful on a GP, they look so good with tasteful euro-style refinements rather than the busy theme you are creating.

Just my opinion, don't take it too personal. I'm 50 and you don't even get to be that old by being stupid, and I realize that a flashy look appeals to lots of folks. Just for the most part... not the ones here. Don't feel discouraged, but do check out some other people's rides since you are here now.

maybe the best description of that car ever, once he got the graphics printer the car was super doomed.

Yea I wasn't gonna go with any more paint than I have on their now and I have another dash trim piece in storage I just haven't installed it because I wanna spray it the same color as the skirts. As for the engine everything else in the bay Is gonna get just cleaned up with white paint (same color as originally) I'm not gonna put any decals or grafis or anything like that. I'm actually gonna take all the badges off and switch out the loom with gray. What was on their before was all rotted out sp I had to use something I just didn't think the blue loom would be so extreme. As for the rest my offset color is also metallic black like scottys car. Which is gonna be used on rims, blower, throttlebody. Heads and intake....i dont wanna over do it either so id rather have someone tell me that than anything
