Just bought an 05 CompG with 90K miles. Looking forward to learning about these cars and improving mine!

Great low miles. Hey, I don't think they made too many of these. Did you need to fix the HUD like mine?

It must be purrin' cus it's labeled "QAT"..! Waka-waka..?..no, I'm not very good at jokes. Lol

    Welcome

HUD needs fixed, haven't done it yet. Replaced leaky coolant elbows last week, and did a 180 tstat and new accessory belt while I was at in. SC belt had recently been done before I got the car.
Right now my son's pickup is in the garage for a transmission. Stupid 4L60E sunshells.

Another thing to check right away on the 04+ is the parking brake cable, if you haven't already. It wasn't seized in mine, but I guess it's cooked a few people's painted calipers. (Can just paint one or rebuild if it's damaged)

Ah good to know. It's functional, have used it a few times.

Mine wasn't seized, it had just been adjusted too tight by whoever the previous owner took it to, cost me two rebuild kits before I realized it.

Can of cable lube and a buddy in the driver's seat pumping the parking brake pedal seems to keep it from killing calipers for a while. If you plan on switching to GXP rear calipers later, replace it then.

How much is legal weed there?
Crap, I don't even smoke, just curious.
I have the 04 version without the fancy emblem on the side. Well I don't have any emblems and can't remember what trash can I put them in.
I had those same grills but painted mine black. The nickel plated looks good on the grey.
