New here and wanted to say hello. Recently purchased/rescued an '06 Grand Prix GXP a couple of weeks ago. It was mistreated but it will now receive the proper attention. It only has 94K original (is well documented) is missing the rocker panels and the spoiler, car was wrecked in '09 original nose clip and fenders were shot so after market parts were put on,so it needs some cosmetic attention. I have replaced all wheel hubs and abs wiring harnesses, lower control arms and bushings(had to order) FE4 parts are scarce around here, front brakes, oil pressure sending unit, plugs, wires (owner ran reg unleaded )smh, radiator flush,a coil pack and a couple other odds and ends but she runs like a screamin' banshee now. Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning more about thsee cars, and participating. Thanks.

I never saw the GP without the spoiler, it looks good haha that's epic bro. At least it's in good hands now.

Yeah I'm kinda growing fond of the look w/o the spoiler, but I only have $1500 in it including my parts I've replaced so I have some wiggle room in the wallet to play with

Just finished with the HUD (what a project lol). Next on the agenda is gonna be a ABS module rebuild (I posted in another thread) then adding an HD tranny cooler along with the stocker. I been concentrating on safety issues first now im moving towards preventative measures for now. I know on my '04 Imp SS I stopped having issues after I added one,so far this one is still solid but I know it's just a matter of time. Has onyone here added one on their '06 GP GXP?

Hey guys. Got a couple questions that hopefully someone can shed some light on. Just got my abs module back form rebuild and it cured my brake light issue but my abs/tc/stab con are still on along with the tire pressure warning on the dic. 1st question: is the tpms in my '06 in the hub or is it one the ones in the rim? Looked around online and some places have replacements for the rim kind some places say its in the hub...??? (I'm confused lol) because I have 17" pontiac rims on mine as the previous owner for whatever reason put em on.
2nd question: can not having tpms sensors on the car or a faulty sensor throw the abs/tc/stab control lights?? I will be double checking the current in the wires again to dbl check as I have already replaced the hubs and abs wires a cpl wks ago.

The sensors are in the hubs. And yes, a faulty sensor will set off the acs/tc/stability control warnings. If the hubs and wires are good, you might check the connectors where the hub-sensor plugs in.
