2005.5 ish was the switch over to aluminum intake gaskets for all 3800's.
It's not that they are misleading, it's just not updated correctly.
You'll have to check the car out to see what it has, it may have already been replaced by now too because the car is 11 years old.

Thanks, I'm still researching to see if there's anything else I should know before I scratch the check. Misleading probably wasn't the best word, just the way I read it, it sounded like they upgraded the N/A and not the supercharged, which would be weird.
