Hiya. I just installed an after market stereo in a 2007 grand prix. I was wondering if anyone has an idea what wire I hook up to get the door chime back. Everything else is working fine. There must be one wire I can splice in to get the noise back...I didn't buy any connectors, I just cut and taped wires haha. If it isnt possible to get it back this way, no big deal, just curious. Thanks. If anyone has any questions for me about putting the stereo in I'd be glad to try and help.

If you didn't use a chime retention harness you won't get it back

Let us know how this works for you long term. The 05+ cars seem to have issues when you remove the stereo whether you use the correct adapters or not.

I like mine (when it rarely works) because yes, sometimes I don't close the trunk or a back door all the way, amd sometimes it doesn't show up on my DIC. So the one time it will beep always reminds me that it's open.

But for real, I can put the car in drive with all 4 doors open and it won't do anything. And if the trunk isn't all the way shut, but is pretty close, it won't chime either. Sometimes it won't even display on the DIC because it's close to being shut. Really hate it.

Doesn't matter either way to me, whether I have the noise or not. I have a habit of forgetting lights on though. If I have any future issues I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the responses.
