So I have seen it posted in here several times one of the first things you should do is trans cooler on these GXP'S.Well it is true with warmer temps arriving here in north east I have noticed my trans fluid temp getting up to 210 grampa driving the car,and when I'm on it I have seen as high as 225.I just purchased car about 2 months ago and just hope theirs not to much damage done it's a 06 with 106k on it.So i'm ordering trans cooler this week.If you guy's have any advice on what brand to use and any tips would be greatly appreciated. This forum has helped a ton studying what other guys have posted on here has given me the confidence to give it a shot.I am far from mechanicaly inclined.lol.

You might want to look at buying a "kit" then. There's a couple different options here:

You pay a little more that way, but there's no fabrication or guesswork. If you feel like getting creative, click the link in my sig.

Okay a little more exspensive than I was hoping but looks like it's pretty much a exact fit with everything I need.So I'm reading you have to take off front bumper to do install is that true?

I installed a hayden 404 cooler on my 02 GT. That is a tube and fin cooler. On that generation the bumper does not have to come off.

I want to install a better cooler on my 06, I am not sure if the bumper has to come off. I was looking at plate and fin cooler for this car, they're a little more expensive but more efficient. Those part numbers start with 67X. I was thinking the 678, or the largest, 679.

Here's a link to an amazon search for the hayden coolers. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=a9_sc_1?...qid=1463099424

Of course these coolers are just hose clamp style connections, so you have to custom hook these up. On my 02 I cut two slots in the bottom air dam piece and ran the hoses under the radiator support. Then cut the stock cooler lines at a convenient place and made a little flared edge, ran the hose over it and clamped it.
