take it for a test drive, never know it might be solid. iirc it was plastidipped. thats a red flag for me, who knows wtf its hiding under there.

the 3800 engine is just so much better to me. hell its not in the top 10 engines ever made for no reason.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

I still think that GM should have continued with the 3800 V6, there was a rumored prototype of a Series 4 that made ~300hp na. I have only ever seen it mentioned on here and can not find any legit info on if it is true or not.

I didn't realize the 3800 was that good. I plan to take it for a test drive and I asked about the dip and he said the only thing was that the fender flares were a little faded. I like that metallic green color so I'd take the dip off and coincidentally I have a whole kit of lime green dip with lime green pearls ready for a car since I was going to dip my galant.

Also I saw the stuff you guys told me to look in the L67 supercharged but I also looked under the L36 from what I understand is pretty much the same engine minus the supercharge. I hope that's the case with the reliability and cheap parts placement since I found a couple of regular Regals which I'm pretty sure they all use this engine minus the GS that is supercharged. I also found the last gen Grand Prix and I guess you guys can tell me if series iii is better that series ii Here's what I found:

Series II and Series III are essentially the same engine, just a few changes here and there, http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...s-of-3800-Info

Stay away from this one it is like the guy is describing a different car, says the leather has no rips or tears, yet pics clearly show a fubar drivers seat http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5422560944.html

This one isn't too bad http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5449135161.html

Skip this one http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5415100657.html and that GP, its an 05 base model, with what looks to be no options even has some nice hubcaps not worth what they are asking.

And I really hate you guys over there, you have a lot more options for cars than we do, if I look for a grand prix or Regal I am lucky to find 3 cars in my area on CL.

Thanks for the advice and I looked up the regals and those were the only good ones of that generation lol. All the other ones are the really old ones and I think one guy was trying to pass off a LeSabre as a Regal...I may not know engines as well as I thought but I know cars lol
