Hey guys. Just purchased a 98 GTP today. Love it. Came from a 87 Trans Am GTA so loving the cool features this car has to offer. I am the second owner. On the higher side for miles at 170k but doesn't look or run like it. Whoever had it really kept up with it, it seems. Only paid $1700 for it. There are a few things not working like the HUD isn't coming on, the AC blows from the defrost only. Can't wait to learn everything about the car and get acquainted with this forum. Here's some pics of my car.

Much appreciated. Any direction I should head as far as the heads up display? Is there a on-ff switch for it?

Yes, it's on the right side of the steering wheel. Look at the radio and look a little to your left, you should see a little panel with an up and down button, and then a sliding knob thing to the left of it. Move that knob all the way to the top, not the up and down button.

This is how my switch looks. I put the dim dial all the way up and still nothing.

Yep, that's the correct panel. If it still is not working, you may have a bad bulb or the whole thing is in need some fixing. Hit the up and down button and listen for it moving. Or look for it moving if you can. It may be just be all the way up or down.

She is a beauty. I love all Grand Prixs and All North American made Pontiacs on a whole, and as an owner of the 08 GP sedan, I love the car very much.

    Enjoy it... Love it.

Forgot to update but I fixed the HUD! I followed I link that someone posted on here about fixing the eye on the board. Apparently resoldering it does the trick and it did for me. Works great now.
