Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
^ I completly agree with you! I love forums that you can visit and people are willing to help you out! Then you have people who visit forums who their sole purpose is the stir some $hit and piss people off. But loyal members and friends will always know that forums are a great way to make friends and share ideas! :)
Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
Got a quick question for you guys. Just traded my '00 GP GT in for an '08 GP, and was wondering if this problem still existed in these cars for that year? I had to make my own fix in my '00 GP, since I was having the ever popular pond in the passenger floorboard. Nothing like taking off in the morning when it's dark, for work, and backing up and hearing a 'slosh slosh' coming from the floorboard, ha ha. Anyways, I've only had my '08 for 2 weeks now, and was curious if this was still a problem with these cars.
Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
I would not mind speding the $15 for this part, and I need two. Can anyone post what needs to be modified if I buy from the dealer?

Did you bother READING the first few posts in the thread? He makes it clear what needs to be done. Sorry if it comes off snarky, but this one doesn't even require the use of the search.

'08's do not need it. As far as I know, you already have one. ;)

Thanks for the posting. Excellent write-up on how to fix the problem with cars that do have this issue by the way. Take care.

Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
I finally put mine in today and it was really easy. Funny my daughter drove it to Texas last week and it leaked enough to destroy the Blower motor and the Resistor pack. I got those replaced today as well. Thanks for a great product, had I performed it earlier I would have avoided the additional expenses and cabin gymnastics today.
Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
NOoooooooooooo lmao, I really wish I had found this forum sooner. I found the leak and yes it was the vent but not knowing how to take it off I used gasket sealer in a tube. lmao but hey no more leak :)
Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix

I think the French word Douche' comes to mind when seeing junk like this...
Oh yeah Captian Obvious..........you mentioned one more thing..........."People are losing there jobs......" Its spelt "their".
Thanks for your time. Move along now to troll some other site where no one cares for your type of brilliant mind boggling knowledge and know how.
Sorry Brian and Jay for this Douche' ruining your plans for world domination in the plastics market and taking over all of GM's parts department worldwide :th_yawning:

Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
I'm not worried. Everyone knew that we weren't making any cash off of them, we just happen to get a ton in before GM started offering them and got them out to the people who needed them. I think between Jay and I we shipped out over 70 of them, including 2 to the UK. Not one single complaint about the price either I may add.
Now, GM has them in stock, and most dealers can get them for less than $5.
The important part of all of it is it originated here on GPF. At least that's how I see it.

You have my vote on that one! As well as many others here! NO doubt about that!
Re: Water in floorboard (Take 2) - The Permanent Fix
Hey guys! Wish I would have come across this before I had to pay to replace my blower motor 3 times. If anyone has this part, I desperately need it and will send paypal immediately. Thanks!
