I have had a couple people interested in how this is done so I will attempt my first write up

First thing is removing that pass through slot that leads into your trunk. That can be done with a little prying. Just pay attention to the two little tabs that it rotates on and watch you don't scratch up the plastic taking it out.
Once you get it out go onto your computer and print off a picture of a pontiac logo or whatever it is you wanna make for your hole. Be sure to get it as big as you can on the page. The one shown in the pictures is not the actual one i used. I made it a full page! Print the logo off and cut it out.
Once you have it cut out place it onto your trunk piece.
Your gonna wanna measure from side to side to make sure you get the logo as center as possible. Once you think its center and straight trace er onto your piece. I used a thin sharpie because the material is hard to draw on.
Once it is traced onto your piece there are two layers that need to be cut through. The carpet and than the thick plastic. Start with the carpet. This can be done with a knife and or scissors. Its tricky because its glued down in spots too. Take your time and don't get too picky about how it looks.
After that you can use that rough cut out to cut your plastic. I used a drill with a decent sized drill bit to start a hole. Once a hole is made big enough for your reciprocating saw blade get the blade in there and cut it out. This can also be tricky and time consuming so take your time and cut small pieces out one at a time.
Trim up any excess carpet. BAM the hard part is done. Still looking like poop? Don't worry I can fix that.
Trim goes A LONG way. Now use whatever trim works for you, but I will show you what I did... I originally had cloth seats in my car. I upgraded to leather. I used the little trim piece off the top of my door panels.
Use whatever trim you can find that works but if you have this lying around and it works great! It is stapled on with staples on the back side. Just pry them out with a flat screwdriver and yank em out with your pliers.
Now that the staples are out pull the trim piece right off. Try not to break it!
I used two pieces of trim off of two of my doors. Finally just place them along the sides of your cutout and cut them to a rough length. (I used scissors, it has a tendency to shatter so if there is something better than use it!) Leave room cause you will most likely screw up your angles a few times at the corners of the logoIt can be a piss off until you get them right. Once you get your angles and length correct place them in and line them up so it looks half decent. They should fit tight over your carpet and plastic (sometimes too tight and its hard to get the carpet underneath the trim piece) . Now I just took a little hot glue and glued them on the back side. That will hold everything nice and solid. Just put the trunk piece back in your car and it should look somewhat like this:
I have a light on my sub that's in the trunk, it flashes with the bass so this looks really cool at night. Hope this works out for you guys! Thanks!
