    Removal is either done with a blind pilot bearing tool or you drill and tap them under neath and use a grease gun to push them out.

    Tools


    Drill and tap the red holes (pic is after greased them and removed)


    Thread your NPT pipe in and hook to grease gun



    Pump until the bearing pops out.

    ^ pulled from the inside out, with a blind bearing puller tool. It uses a slide hammer to drive them out.

    If I'm not mistaken, the gen V bearings are open on the back side. In that case you could just fill them with grease and hammer a close fit pin into the bearing. That should force the grease behind the bearing race and pop it right out. I use this trick on carrier bushings in flywheels.

    IIRC the only thing I've heard on Gen V are to get a pilot bearing pulling tool.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
