The 04+ has 2 seperate bulbs, one for Low and one for High, so yes, if you replace the low beams with HID, then you would still have Highs. Its only the 97 to 03 that has the problem of one bulb for both.
You would need to disable the daytime running lights if you are going the HID route. No switch is needed to do this. There is some debate as to the headlights coming on before the car starts, or the lights flashing with the alarm. Some say it puts alot of wear and tear on the balast, some say its not that much. I have installed a 5 sec delay switch on mine that takes care of both of these potential problems.
FYI.....for the rest of you, I am still waiting on a email from David as to how he wants to order these.....One big order or individual....as soon as I get a email back from him, I will post up how to order them.
