Alright guys I probably should've posted a while back but I've been pretty busy... so about 2 wks ago on a friday I drive my car home and the car starts up and idles rough, then it revs to about a 3k and it stalled. It's an 02 GTP but I tried to bend the relay to bypass the resistor anyway... didn't work. It would crank and idle roughly till it just wouldn't start anymore. Later that weekend I got in the car and all the lights were out... so a dead battery. I left it like this for a week (it's been a busy week), so last weekend I jumped it, it started and idled rough but once I turned it off it wouldn't turn on again and the lights dimmed again... so I replaced the battery and well now it just does this (I linked the video below) ... what the hell?

Loose connection somewhere is my guess.

Hmm maybe in the battery terminals? Don't know why it'd start up with it jumped but when the new battery's installed it won't start at all

I also have been experiencing issues with the electrical system in a '02 GP. I have not had the cranking issue like JohnJ89 has. The cause may be totally different. But, after doing plenty of searching of electrical problems on the 3800, a lot of problems can be caused from bad connection to the battery.
In my GP, the engine is slow to start up, even though it is tuned up, starter is working ok, and the battery is brand new. After the engine starts, the idle will sometimes be rough. And the dash lights and DIC and interior lights will glow bright, then get dim.
The battery side post cable bolts that hook up to the battery are the original ones. The negative terminal bolt has been stripped out for some time. I can turn it with my fingers.
Others that have had no startup or slow starting, and rough idle, and dimming lights have pointed to the fact that there must be a secure fit of the battery cables to the battery in these cars. So, even though the side bolts are twisted into the battery, they are not making enough of a connection for electrical current to flow.
So, I am going to try replacing the bolts to see if that makes a difference.

Sounds like you've found your problem, that weak ground connection can cause all kinds of issues
