2002 Grand Prix 40th Anniversary 3800 Motor. Not supercharged. While driving, motor just shuts off. Put car in neutral and restarts. This has happened twice in two weeks. Any suggestions?

Does the tach drop to 0 before it shiuts down? This sounds like a crankshaft position sensor. Is the CEL on?

Did not notice if tach dropped before car shut off. But I did notice a couple times the tach was at zero but the car ran fine.

CKPS is the crankshaft sensor.. cps is camshaft. I know.. technical stuff. I torture you with it.

That's funny cause the books I looked at in school say CSPS is camshaft and crankshaft is CPS.

Just like I failed one question when I was asked what the proper name was for an alternator.

The proper name is AC generator. Yea kinda stupid but whatever
